The Magnetic Reed Switch is a durable, easy-to-use magnetic contact switch designed for door and window open–close detection.
It consists of:

A reed switch (electrical switch sealed inside a glass tube)

When the magnet comes near the reed switch, the internal contacts close. When the magnet moves away, the contacts open.
